  Our Instructors

 Catherine Sam-Long

I am a French native established in the Bay Area since 1998.  I hold a Master in English literature along with 30 early childhood education units and have been an early childhood educator for 19 years.

I started my career as a teacher assistant and co-teacher at the French American School of Silicon Valley, where I stayed for many years before taking a break to start a family.

While raising two daughters, I kept teaching part-time for the French Education of the Bay Area (EFBA), an after-school French tutoring program, before becoming the teaching director at Petits Confettis, a French Immersion Preschool, where I've worked for 5 years.

Teaching young children is something I've always wanted to do and I feel privileged to have a job that makes me truly happy. I've loved every minute of it!

 Virginie Zenero

I am a mom of two boys, French native and have been living in California since 2009.

I am a qualified preschool teacher in California, holding 15 units in early childhood education, and am still learning.

I joined Mademoiselle Anne two years ago, because ever since I've had my kids, another world opened to me.  I discovered that there's nothing more joyful than seeing kids have fun.  From a previous career in accounting to being a qualified preschool teacher, I now have the opportunity to join in with the kids and have fun too!

 Frederique Gingembre

I am a native French recently arrived in the bay area with my husband and my two lovely daughters. I've been working since 2002 and my career has always been driven by kids. I hold a degree in a specialized education and I have worked for many years with autistic kids but also with children suffering of intellectual disability. This job made me what I am today.

I am an instructor who likes to adapt to each child. I am also a creator of educational games and I spend a lot of time thinking how to teach kids and young people while having fun. What do I prefer in my job? I enjoy seeing kids grow up, progressing and being proud of themselves when they accomplish something new... My job has always been my passion and I am very happy today to do it in French in Mademoiselle Anne's program.

 Francoise Allamanche

Born and raised in France, I studied to get a Masters degree in Foreign Languages & Economy. I worked 5 years in Germany before moving to the USA with my husband in 2005.

I dedicated my life in California to raising my 3 girls and enrolled them in parent participation co-op preschool where I fell in love with the play based and project based programs. I also created an outdoor/hiking playgroup when my little one was still in preschool to connect children with nature.

I have always loved arts & crafts and have been leading the art program at my girls’ elementary school for more than 8 years, creating new lessons and experimenting with techniques and materials. I am thrilled to combine my love for children and art together teaching the Ten Little Fingers Art Class.

 Nathalie Dehaudt

I’m a French native and I have been living in the Bay Area since 2010. Back in France, I worked in a day care for 14 years, and I have always liked to work with kids.

Since I arrived in the Bay Area, I have been working as a French tutor for children 3 to12 years old.

With Mademoiselle Anne program, I’m happy to find a new fun way to teach kids.
